Good day everyone
My name is Carmelita Reed 37 from cape town south africa. I am trying to raise funds to start an ngo for abandoned babies.i would like to create a safe place for unwanted babies where the mother can safely and discreetly call in or drop off the baby instead of dumping them in trash bins or pipes ,like the program you guys have in the US. I have an empty room in my house for when my own kids come to visit but most of the time its just me and my husband alone.all my life I wanted to do something meaningful that truly makes a difference from helping unhoused people by giving them a new look on life but it’s hard to do anything when you don’t have money.i tried writing to Oprah but my emails bounced back.Whatever donations I can get finance or clothes, diapers anything just to help me get started would be appreciated. Its easy for us to judge others without knowing the situation or their circumstances but I have a friend who went through an ordeal and the outcome was bad the baby survived thank god ,she went to prison and I have always felt guilty because if I had answered her call when she went into labor, that would have never happened i would have taken the baby and my sister would have helped me take care of him till she would have been ready or changed her mind towards her situation and all that happened could have been avoided. I would like to help take care of the kids and give the mother at least 3 months to see if her circumstances change while looking for a permanent home for the baby during these months. Even if I could save just one baby it would make a huge difference giving them a loving home .maybe using this platform is wrong I don’t know but I’m trying anywhere and everywhere to ask for help.thanks for the opportunity.
